\nThis dataset has spatial reference [WGS 84 \u2248 GDA94] which may result in\nmisalignments when viewed in GDA2020 environments. A similar service with a\n\u2018multiCRS\u2019 suffix is available which can support GDA2020, GDA94 and WGS 84 \u2248\nGDA2020 environments.
\nIn due course, and allowing time for user feedback and testing, it is intended\nthat the original service name will adopt the new multiCRS functionally.

The Geocoded Urban and Rural Addressing\nSystem (GURAS) is a \u2018property\u2019 based address database. Each property polygon\ncaptured within GURAS has a unique numeric identifier and contains at least one\nauthoritative address which is sourced from local councils via the valuation of\nland database, also managed by LPI-Valnet. Properties may contain more than one\naddress sourced from various other organisations.
\n
\nThe GURAS database is commonly used by all levels of government for emergency\nservices, computer aided dispatch systems, postal and delivery services, and to\nidentify location.

\n\u00a0Address points are generally system generated points and do not always\nhave a direct correlation to the dwelling location. In circumstances where\nthere are multiple disparate lots for one property, particularly in rural\naddresses, the system generated address points may not reside within the\ncorrect property polygon. Owners names are not part of the GURAS database, nor\ndoes GURAS contain any personal information.

\nThe Geocoded Addressing Theme is a single source of truth for address\ninformation in NSW, GURAS eliminates the costly duplication of effort where all\nlocal councils, Australia Post, emergency service organisations and other\nagencies and businesses maintained individual address databases with different\ncreation and distribution regimes.

Geocoded Addressing Data Theme includes\nthe following feature classes:

Waypoint -\u00a0A WayPoint is a point located on the RoadSegment feature class for\nan address where the road naming attributes from both the AddressString and the\nRoadSegment classes are identical. Indicates the approximate entry point of for\nan address.

Address Point -\u00a0A point feature class used to spatially locate an address / address\nstring

The dataset maintains a positional relationship to, and alignment\n with, the Lot and Property digital datasets. This dataset was captured by\n digitising the best available cadastral mapping at a variety of scales and\n accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000 according to the National Mapping\n Council of Australia, Standards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the\n position of the feature instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of\n the well-defined points. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m,\n 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = 50m. A program of positional\n upgrade (accuracy improvement) is currently underway.\u00a0\u00a0

Some of Spatial Services Datasets are designed to work together for example \u201cNSW Address Point\u201d and \u201cNSW Address String Table\u201d, NSW Property (Polygon) and NSW Property Lot Table and NSW Lot (polygons). To do this you need to add a \u201cSpatial Join\u201d.

A\u00a0Spatial join\u00a0is a\u00a0GIS\u00a0operation that affixes data from one feature layer\u2019s\u00a0attribute table\u00a0to another from a\u00a0spatial\u00a0perspective.
