NSW road safety progress report : for NSW Parliament on 2012 activities

This report details a range of actions taken over the last year in an effort to reduce the tragic loss of life and devastating injuries which people in NSW experience as a result of road crashes. In 2012 the NSW Government developed the NSW Road Safety Strategy 2012-2013 to support the implementation of the NSW 2021 target of reducing road crash fatalities and serious injuries by 30 per cent and to reduce the rate of fatalities to 4.3 fatalities per 100,000 population by 2016. The strategy has identified a range of NSW specific issues that need to be addressed over the decade.
