SH 10 - Pacific Highway : Ross Lane to Bangalow : strategic concept design : visual and landscape evaluation

This evaluation has been carried out to briefly assess the landscape/environmental implications and likely impacts of the proposed reconstruction of the Pacific Highway from Ross Lane to Bangalow. It also describe strategies by which impacts may be reduced for the integration of the road corridor with the surrounding landscape. The landscape within the study area between Ross Lane and Bangalow was assessed for its intrinsic characteristics, its prominence and its capacity to absorb the proposed highway widening. This report deals with the broad landscape/environmental impacts associated with the proposed highway reconstruction. It also recommends the preferred route location based upon the existing landscape/environmental constraints and opportunities within the study area.
