The dataset consists of the flooding extent March 2022 flood in NSW. It utilises inundation data from Copernicus EMS (Radar), Sentinel-2 optical, VIIRS Satellite, high resolution models of flooding from Australian Climate Service in selected locations, and NSW’s Impact Assessments (provided by EICU). The workflow removes rivers/lakes/dams and other known permanent water bodies to only show the flooding boundaries.

The dataset shows approximate extent of the flood which may or may not cover the peak of the flood.

Accuracy	The extent polygons are based on a preliminary flood extent developed by the National Recovery & Resilience Agency using experimental methodologies, multiple satellite observations and modelled data sources, and has not been validated against on-ground information. It is only an indication of potentially impacted areas and there are possible errors of inclusion and omission.
