Supplement to the New South Wales Government Gazette 1897

We, the Public Service Board appointed under the provisions of the "Public Service Act of 1895" have, in accordance with the terms of the Act, personally inspected the Audit Office, Department of the Chief Secretary, and, so far as practicable, investigated the character of the work performed by every Officer of that Office. We have also, subject to any right of appeal under section 15 of the said Act, graded the Officers employed t therein, and classified the work performed by each in the manner described in the accompanying Schedule.
