Proposed upgrade of the Pacific Highway at Tyndale Village : review of environmental factors

The Pacific Highway is the principal road transport corridor between Sydney and Brisbane, the alternative inland route being the New England Highway. The Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW (RTA) has identified that the existing section of the Pacific Highway through Tyndale Village is of a lower standard than the highway to the north and south. The RTA is consequently proposing realignment of the 0.92 km length of the section of highway through Tyndale Village. The upgrade will provide a two lane carriageway with 3.5 m lanes, 2.0-3.0 m sealed shoulders, and 0.5-1.0 m sealed verges, and a 100 km/h standard alignment.
